Taiwan CingJing, My Favourite Retreat

Taiwan is my favourite destination for holiday. I've been to Taiwan five times since 2008. For the first trip in 2008, I went to Taiwan around the island holiday with my parents and youngest brother with a tour agency. I went there for one solo trips, once with my friend, once with my cousin and once when I took my parents for holiday. I never get tired of Taiwan because Taiwanese are very friendly and I love their delicious food especially Ah Zhong Mian Xian (though I only eat the vermicelli and not the innards) in Ximengting. Its the best Mian Xian or vermicelli in this world! Also I love National Palace Museum and mountainous nature. I always travel in end of the year from late November to December as weather is cooler and windy.

Besides Taipei, I also love Cingjing, a cool mountainous beauty that is similar to Switzerland.  I already went to Cingjing thrice, once on my solo trip, once with my younger cousin and once with my parents. I wanted to share this beautiful scenery with my parents, so in 2014, I planned a holiday for my parents.

Why do I love Cingjing? Maybe because I love mountain and the cool weather. Up in the mountain in November, temperature is about 9 degrees celsius at night and about 13 degrees celsius in the morning. Most of the time, I always plan three days and 2 night in Cingjing to explore the vicinity if I plan a week holiday in Taiwan.

To get to Cingjing, somewhere near Nantou, you need to spend about 3 hours journey from Taoyuan airport. About 45 minutes from Taoyuan high speed rail to Taichung high speed station and another 2 hours bus journey to Cingjing. But once you see the following scenery, the time spent is worth it.
This castle actually houses a souvenir shop.
Sheep grazing the grass. Be careful, some sheep can be violent. I saw one sheep rushing to a man with feed.
That is the stage area where horses and sheep perform.
This looks like a scenery from Chinese painting.
Blue blue sky with fluffy cloud. Ah what a beautiful place!
