Kam's Roast Goose, Michelin 1 Star Restaurant

Kam's Roast Goose was not on my "Must Eat" list. It just so happened that I passed by this 1 Michelin star restaurant on my way to Capital Cafe (華星氷室). There was a long queue so I went to Capital Cafe for black truffle scrambled egg first. This restaurant is about 10 to 15 minutes walk from Wan Chai MTR station. 

At about 4.50 pm, there was no queue so I had a seat immediately. If you go to the restaurant during lunch time, be prepared to queue. I ordered the roast goose with egg noodle and a cup of coffee. It came with the plum sauce for the roast goose. Total cost is HK$74 which is quite cheap!  This dish reminds me of Singapore Dian Xiao Er, a restaurant that serves great roast herb duck. After eating Kam's Roast goose, I think Dian Xiao Er should also be awarded 1 or 2 Michelin star.

The crispy skin is filled with lots of natural fragrant oil. The chef is really a master in roasting. The goose was just so crispy and tasty. Look at the picture below! The chef was quite generous with the roast goose meat. I also love the thin egg noodle which taste really fresh. All in all, I was really delighted with the meal. Service is good too. So I highly recommend this restaurant for both food and service quality!

In Hong Kong, restaurant food is quite cheap. There is no 7% GST and 10% service charge. At HK$74, its about S$13.50.
